Performance, 2015 – 2020
Money is a lifetime performance where the artist promises to publish how much money she possesses on the first day of every month, starting on the 1st of April 2015 and continuing until the day she dies.
You can pay £100 to collect a copy of the artist’s monthly bank statement by email: money@zhutian.co.uk. You are also welcome to send an email to the same address to talk about anything related to ‘money’. Bank statements are limited to one copy per month.
Any communication between individuals and the artist may be published. By sending an email to the above address, the sender automatically gives the artist the right to publish the content of those emails should she decide to do so at any point in time.
In 2020, following the death of her father, the artist received a considerable amount of inheritance. She decided to permanently terminate ‘Money” project after she realised that money has stopped being the dominating influencing factor in her life.
